Yale Art Gallery in New Haven, CT

A beautiful illustrative scene depicting mythology.

I was drawn to A Bagpiper and A Jester because of their similar cartoonish style, despite both being painted by different artists and in different mediums.

The two previous paintings were made in the Romantic style, similar to Mt.Ktaadn

Look at these colors! I was drawn to this bright painting of a vase of flowers by Odilon Redon, which made me curious about his other works. I found out that Redon was a Symbolist artist and that his earlier pieces used darker colors. "Nasturtiums" was painted during a time when he was moving from his dark style to a brighter one.

I really like Pointillism because it reminds me of the 8-bit art I grew up with. Visiting this painting and the following works of van Gogh, Seurat, and Monet was a great experience.

A small, but impactful Rococo painting of Saint Roch being carried into Heaven by angels.

This is one of the five paintings commissioned from Canaletto to document the renovation of a wealthy aristocrat's home. It captures the castle and its surroundings in great detail.

These dark, earthy, chiaroscuro paintings by Aert van der Neer are reminiscent of some of his other works, where he specialized in moonlit landscapes.

I've never seen a painting where I could be next to one of the artworks it shows. This painting by Manet Harrison Fowler, which depicts her daughter standing next to a Liberian statue in the gallery, was a treat to experience.
